Campus Cottage: 2BR Walk to OSU + Breakfast
Overview
Campus Cottage is a two-bedroom, one-bath furnished home a short walk from Oregon State University and downtown Corvallis. Built in 1926, it pairs historic character with a freshly updated interior, a well-equipped kitchen, a fireplace, and a sunlit conservatory.
Out back is a private fenced yard with a grill. Every stay includes a welcome breakfast of organic eggs, coffee, tea, and fruit, plus golf privileges at the Corvallis Club. Air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, and parking.
The Space
Inside, the living and dining rooms open to each other over hardwood floors, with a fireplace anchoring the sitting area for cooler Corvallis evenings. The furnishings are arranged for settling in rather than passing through.
The kitchen has what you need to cook a full dinner, and it leads into a sunlit conservatory that catches the morning light and looks over the backyard. Through the conservatory, the fenced yard has seating and a gas grill, private enough to eat outside on a warm evening.
The main bedroom holds a queen bed. The second is a flexible room with a twin bed and a work surface, so it can serve as a child's room, a guest bed, or a quiet spot for a work session. Fast Wi-Fi reaches every room, and laundry is downstairs in the basement whenever you need it.
The Area
Campus Cottage sits in a historic, tree-lined part of Corvallis, and most of what visitors come for is within walking distance. You can reach the PRAx Creative Arts Center, Reser Stadium, and Goss Stadium on foot, along with Central Park, the Corvallis Museum, and the downtown shops. For dinner, Del Alma and TacoVino are close by, with more options a short walk into downtown.
The neighborhood rewards a slow walk on its own, with century-old homes and leafy streets. The cottage dates to 1926 and is part of that history. It sits one block from the train tracks, so you may hear a train pass now and then, usually for only a minute or two.
Corvallis also opens onto the wider valley. Willamette Valley wine country is about twenty minutes out, Mary’s Peak is close for hiking and long views, and the Oregon Coast is roughly a fifty-minute drive west.
Private parking for one car is behind the cottage, and it is easy to walk or bike from here to OSU, downtown, and Central Park. A bus stop is nearby, and Uber and Lyft run reliably in town.
