Here is the part worth knowing before you book. Anyone who stays 30 or more consecutive days at the same facility is exempt from all three, whether in a hotel or rental. It is the length of the stay that qualifies you, not the type of building. So if you are booking a hotel for a full month, ask directly whether they will treat it as one continuous reservation and apply for the exemption. On a $4,000 month, that is more than $500.
